Return and Refund Policy

Effective from: August 7, 2025

1. Right of Withdrawal (EU 14-Day Cooling-Off Period)

If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without giving any reason, in accordance with EU consumer protection law.

The withdrawal period is 14 days from the day you, or a third party named by you (not the carrier), have taken possession of the goods.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, please notify us clearly (e.g. by email) at hello@monarchbeans.com within the 14-day period. You may use our cancellation form or send us an informal message.

You must return the goods within 14 days of notifying us of your withdrawal. The deadline is met if you dispatch the goods before the 14-day period has expired.

2. Returning the Goods

Please return the goods within 14 days after informing us of your withdrawal to:

Prior approval is not required to exercise your statutory right of withdrawal.

Please package the goods securely, preferably using the original packaging. Original packaging is not a general condition for exercising your statutory right of withdrawal.

You are only liable for diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods. Statutory exceptions to the right of withdrawal remain applicable.

To be eligible for a return:

The item must be in the same condition in which you received it

Unworn, unused, with tags attached and in the original packaging

A receipt or proof of purchase is required

3. Return Costs

Unless otherwise agreed, you are responsible for the return shipping costs.
If the product is faulty or incorrectly delivered, we will cover the return costs.

4. Excluded Items (Non-Returnable)

The right of withdrawal does not apply to the following:

Goods made to customer specifications or clearly personalized (e.g. custom-branded packaging)

Goods that deteriorate quickly or have a short expiry date

Sealed goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons, if the seal has been broken

Digital content not supplied on a physical medium once download has started

5. Damages and Issues

Please inspect your order upon arrival. If the item is damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us immediately at hello@monarchbeans.com, so we can assess the situation and resolve it as quickly as possible.

6. Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges.
If you would like a different product, please initiate a return for the original item and place a new order separately.

7. Refunds Following Withdrawal

We will reimburse all payments received for the withdrawn purchase, including standard delivery costs, without undue delay and no later than 14 days after being informed of your withdrawal. Additional costs resulting from your choice of a more expensive delivery method are not reimbursed.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent them back, whichever occurs first.

Reimbursement will use the original payment method unless expressly agreed otherwise. You will not incur any fees for the reimbursement.

Your statutory rights concerning defective or incorrectly supplied goods remain unaffected.
